A highlight of the event was the unveiling of a pioneering process for producing Triple Thin Insulated Glass Units (IGUs). This innovative method features a remarkably thin, 1-millimeter center pane combined with a Super Spacer, a warm-edge flexible spacer system. The new process marks a significant advancement in the field of glass manufacturing, offering enhanced energy efficiency and thermal performance.

The technology was demonstrated on a high-speed production line designed to tackle the complexities of triple glazing production. This line is capable of producing double, triple, and shaped glass units with improved output performance. A standout feature of this technology is its ability to suspend the inner lite between the two outer panes, protecting the thin glass piece and requiring only a single pass to fill the single cavity.

In addition to the Triple Thin IGU process, advancements in vertical edge processing were also demonstrated. A new automatic tool cone changer for edge grinding machines optimizes the platform's level of automation, increasing efficiency and productivity while reducing tool handling. This upgrade is a significant step change in performance efficiency for the industry.

The event also premiered a new arrissing machine designed to manage both arrissing and coarse edge grinding. This machine is particularly suited to the construction industry's needs for flat edge grinding of laminated glass. The introduction of these innovations addresses the market's demand for high-quality, efficient, and sustainable glass processing solutions.
